Ready To Be Scheduled
The Ready to be Scheduled action items in the Action Center includes orders without a delivery date, including sales and exchanges that are in a Pending status with all merchandise in stock, or Pickups that are in a Pending status. This list of orders will allow you to determine the customers who need to be contacted to schedule a delivery/pickup.
To start working on an action item, you can double-click the order or select the Process Order toolbar button. This will cause the order to be opened in a special "action" state. While the order is open this way, it will appear as locked in the main Action Center list so that other users will know that the call is currently in progress. At the top of the order form will be an action bar that shows how long the order has been open, with two buttons to indicate that the order was successfully processed or not:
All functionality that is available when normally viewing an order is still available here, such as scheduling, sending emails, and changing addresses.
If the order is scheduled successfully, the user should click the Finish button. This will tell the Action Center that the action is completed, and the order will be removed from the action list. A record of the time spent scheduling the order will be recorded so that metrics can be calculated as to how long it typically takes to schedule orders.
If the order cannot be scheduled, then the user should click the Cancel button. This will cause the order to be added to the bottom of the action list so that it can be processed again later in the day or the following day.
